Painted Wolf Wines

Dedicated to the production of authentic, distinct and delicious wines, and to the conservation of African wild dogs and their natural habitat.

About the winery
Painted Wolf Wines shares a charming converted house (125 Main Road) with Sit Café. Open for tasting, sales and wine by the glass. Light meals are available from Sit Café. The company donates 5% of turnover to painted wolf (African wild dog) conservation through organisations such as The Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) and the Tusk Trust . Painted Wolf Wines produces high quality wines with a distinctive South African feel. There is an emphasis on Chenin Blanc and Pinotage – the two benchmark South African grape varieties. The company also vinifies other grapes, especially Rhone varietals, and their Roussanne and Mourvedre have been particularly successful. The Painted Wolf Wines pack lives by the mantra ‘remarkably persistent, persistently remarkable'.

History & Geography
Jeremy and Emma Borg founded the Painted Wolf Wine Company in 2007 creating a wine brand which is thought provoking, down to earth, high quality and distinct, with conservation at the core of the company’s values. Grapes are sourced from Paarl, Swartland, Breedekloof and the wider coastal region through long-term, sustainable relationships with grape growers, either as investors in Painted Wolf Wines or with other mutually beneficial relationships – these are the grower ‘pack’.
