About the winery
Quinta do Noval hopes to bring a new dimension to the experience of visitors from all over the world by welcoming them in an ancient Port cellar, in the Douro near our vineyards where the wines are made. Situated at the source of production of Port wines and indeed of the new unfortified wines of the Douro, this new centre is a place of discovery, of exchange of information, and above all of wine tasting. A complete range of the wines from Quinta do Noval and of wine related products is on offer. With a number of interactive tools the visitor will be able to discover the terroir and the unique character of the vineyard of Quinta do Noval, and to understand the traditional methods of production of great Port wines.

Quinta do Noval is an historic name with iconic status in the world of wine. But it is above all a vineyard. In the heart of the Douro Valley, great wines have been made in this place since the early 18th century. Quinta do Noval benefits from a privileged position in the heart of the Douro Valley. The vineyard of 145 hectares which is entirely classified letter A, is planted with the noblest grape varieties of the Douro.
