History & Geography
Everyone has Always called them this way, Le Pupille, the two colonial houses on two gentle hills in Tuscany, Maremma. Seen from high above they really seemed like two pupils of two big eyes, which relentlessly watched the sky. This story has the flavor of tradition and authenticity. Alfredo, called Fredi, decided to transform this place into a typical Tuscan farm, with two hectars of land used for growing vines for his enjoyment, as he was a keen wine enthusiast. The wine production was solely cosumed by the family and some friends. At the beginning of the eighties a couple of projects started on the grounds of Pupille and all were encouraged by Fredi. Unfortunately he died in 1985 and Elisabetta Geppetti, who was a very young art history student at that time, decided to continue the dream of Fredi, by adding to it her fresh and young interpretation. The story of Fattoria le Pupille as we now know it, starts here.
