Castello Tricerchi

Our visits pass through the vineyards, the castle and its history, to reach the medieval cellars and therefore live an authentic experience!

About the winery
The Castello Tricerchi Estate extends for 400 hectares on the northern side of Montalcino. In the center of the propriety stands the medieval castle, built-in 1441 by the Tricerchi, a historical family of the Siena’s oligarchy, and today lived and managed by their direct descendants, the Squarcia family. The structure holds internally the cellars of vinification and aging, sited in the medieval dungeons of the castle, where the microclimate is naturally optimal for working wines like Brunello and Rosso di Montalcino. We are so looking forward to welcoming you to Castello Tricerchi. A pure wine experience immersed in history. We will pass in the vineyards, in the medieval cellars, discovering together the artisanal production of a unique wine like Brunello di Montalcino and enjoying a driven tasting of all our wines in the old rooms of the castle. A visit to Castello Tricerchi is an emotion to live, a path immersed in history to discover Brunello di Montalcino.

History & Geography
Castello Tricerchi is located on the north side of Montalcino, historically famous for the great elegance expression of its wines. The vineyards, planted in 1995, grown with Sangiovese, constitute an amphitheater of 7 different plots for 13 hectares at an altitude of 300 mt with west exposure. The agriculture follows an organic philosophy and the work is manual and respectful. This position benefits of the unique microclimate and terroir of Montalcino, resulting in a perfect synergy that delivers finesse and complexity to the Brunello di Montalcino.
