Hither & Yon is a McLaren Vale based wine brand, built from the soil up, and it means "here & over there". It celebrates the rolling nature of our region and our easy going nature. We are a family and friend run business, with each member of our tribe as equal investors into the passion we put into our wines. Every aspect is a curated one, right down to the grapes we pick, the blends we create, the labels we design and the space in which our wines are consumed. Hither & Yon reaches far beyond a bottle on a shelf, it's an experience, a lifestyle and celebration of friends, memories and the good things in life. Together, we now nurture the vineyard and wine business, with great help and passion from all of the Leask family.

History & Geography
In the 1970s, the Leask Family moved from the Hunter Valley in NSW to McLaren Vale. Here, by virtue, Dad grew the family’s vineyards and wine business from scratch while Mum juggled the handful of running the vineyard office and vintage bookings on her own. It’s probably not surprising then that one brother (Richard) would grow up to become a vigneron, gaining experience across the breadth of Australia’s wine regions, developing/managing vineyards, and implementing sustainable farming programs. The other (Malcolm) traveled and worked extensively in the hospitality and retail trade in Australia and abroad, on the corporate and private side of the fence. Our aim with Hither & Yon is very simple: respect our family’s hard work and leave our land in an even better state for the next generation of Leask’s. The way to achieve that is by sustainable grape growing, with wines made essentially in our family vineyards by McLaren Vale’s amazing geology and maritime influence.
