About the winery
There are many rigorous challenges of growing fruit in this dramatically cold environment on the far western reaches of Sonoma County, but they are well worth the risk. We rise to the challenges of the Sonoma Coast to produce wines with fully ripened fruit at lower brix, mature flavors and tannins, that are balanced by a high-acid profile. All of the winemaking at SCV is directed by master winemaker Anthony Austin, who brings his vast knowledge, incredible artistry and experience to SCV's mission of producing exceptional wines from the Sonoma Coast appellation. By carefully selecting the vineyards and working closely with each grower, Anthony obtains ripe, balanced fruit from this climate-challenged environment.
