Overhex Wines International was founded in 2006 by Gerhard van der Wath, qualified lawyer and an entrepreneur at heart. The family-owned business is situated in the provincial town of Worcester in the Western Cape and has grown from strength to strength to now be one of the top 10 exporters in terms of volume and currently the 5th largest exporter of bottled wines from South Africa. We have built lasting relationships with a select number of top growers over the Western Cape. We currently produce at two production facilities with our Worcester facility currently crushing 10 500 tons and our Darling facility crushing 2 500 tons, which equates to 9.8 million litres. Furthermore, we source between 4 to 6 million litres of wine from various established wineries, depending on annual requirements.
