About the winery
FROMM is a boutique, organic winery based in Marlborough’s Wairau Valley. The winery is one of the pioneers for Red varietals in the region, planting Pinot Noir, Syrah and Malbec when industry colleagues were thinking only about Sauvignon Blanc. Producing only 100 tonne of fruit every year, you can be sure that the small quantity is certainly focused on quality, with every single grape being harvested by hand. The Cellar Door is a favourite from locals and tourists alike, who visit to check out the cork screw collection (with some dating back to the 1700’s) and to sit in the sunshine and enjoy their favourite wine with an array of local and European cheeses.

History & Geography
Georg Fromm and Hätsch Kalberer met in the late 1980s and decided to create FROMM Winery. Two The first vines were planted in 1992 under the guidance of Swiss founder, Georg Fromm. years later, in January 1992, after the talking became planning, and the planning became planting, FROMM Winery officially started. With a focus from the start in producing red wines, it is not a surprise that today FROMM makes 6 different Pinot Noir, 2 Syrah and a cool style Malbec. FROMM Winery has built an international reputation by producing an array of outstanding wines that reflect both European style and Kiwi ingenuity.
