About the winery
We represent now 192 family wine growers who take daily care of 450 hectares mostly planted in Barbera grapes (75% of our production) and all other indigenous grapes from Piedmont. Our terroir is characterized by a distinctive terroir of calcareous soils in Nocche, sandy soils in Vinchio and mostly clay soils in Vaglio what makes the Barbera of Vinchio-Vaglio unique for the structure (white soils), elegance (sandy soils) and aromas (clay soils). Our winery is connected to the vineyards through a path that nestles in the Natural Reserve of Val Sarmassa, an incredible overview of our territory and biodiversity mixing steep slopes hills vineyards, woods, and asparagus cultivation. We will inaugurate soon our Big Bench on the highest hill of the area. The winery which mixes very traditional viticultural methods, like manual work in the vineyards including hand harvesting with modern practices, such as temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, solar panels and a high tech bottling.
