History & Geography
Tenuta Moriano is part of an antique territory, the Chianti, dedicated to the agricultural tradition and culture of its wines. Immersed by the atmosphere of the Tuscan country and located very close to the heart of one of the most antique art cities in the entire world. Montespertoli - a town south of Florence, along the ancient Via Volterrana, here are traces of the Etruscan and Roman peoples, it has been home to ancient families such as the Machiavelli and Acciaiuoli, and more recently the Meliani and the Sonnino families. In addition to the picturesque beauty, the estate is close to wonderful Florence and close to such interesting historical towns like San Gimignano, Volterra, Siena. Tenuta Moriano, is an efficient and young farm. The Panconesi family bought the estate in 1990, making it an agricultural company, organized for viticulture and for the production of quality wines.
