History & Geography
"Once upon a time there was the Frescobaldi family's passion for wine.." This story began in Castiglioni, 700 years ago, along the road of the same name, which the ancient Romans built to link Rome to Tuscany. On these gentle hills of Val di Pesa, to the sotuh-west of Florence, the richness of the weather and soil is expressed in structured, fruity wines, thanks to the symbiosis between the cool soils, mild climate and characteristic afternoon breezes from the Tirrenian Sea.
