It is with great pleasure that Frescobaldi opens the doors of their most prestigious estates. All the Frescobaldi estates lie in areas with lengthy, prestigious winegrowing reputations, but they also boast inimitable natural beauty. Castello Pomino, Castello Nipozzano, Tenuta Perano, Tenuta Castiglioni, Tenuta CastelGiocondo, and Tenuta Ammiraglia may be visited by reservation throughout the year, offering guided tastings of Frescobaldi wines and Laudemio extravirgin olive oil, as well as locally-grown specialty foods that are prepared in accord with Tuscan traditions.

History & Geography
CastelGiocondo is one of the few enterprises which gave rise at the beginning of the 19th century to the production of the first Brunello di Montalcino wines. Overlooked by a castle and a small medieval town, the vineyards enjoy three fundamental conditions for the enhancing the Sangiovese: an ideal altitude of around 300 metres, south-west solar exposure to benefit from the hot afternoon sun and drained marly soils. The CastelGiocondo wines are distinguished by their ptency, elegance and longevity.
