We produce a range of eight different styles, all typical of Sicily and all displaying Santa Tresa’s characteristics.

About the winery
Feudo Santa Tresa has 50 hectares of organic vineyards. Wine has been produced here since the seventeenth century, and the Girellis are proud to maintain its traditions, while focusing on sustainable, organic practices. They, together with have proved over the years that by working with nature, we will not only leave a long-standing legacy of a fully sustainable wine-growing estate, but the quality and character of our wines benefits greatly. Since the first vintage in 2002, the team has worked tirelessly to improve the vineyards and to make typical styles of wine with a modern touch. Today they produce at total of nine wines, all of which are certified organic and show the purest expression of the region and its grape varieties.

History & Geography
The Trento-based Girelli family has for several decades produced wine in various different regions of Italy, but it is a corner of Sicily that has captured the hearts of brother and sister Stefano and Marina, who now own the estate. Bucking the trend of southern Italians heading north for work opportunities, Stefano has been travelling regularly to Sicily since the late 1990s, eventually finding and acquiring Feudo Santa Tresa in Vittoria in 2002. Since then the Girellis have worked tirelessly to bring the estate to its full potential, achieving organic status in 2009. Vittoria, a winemaker’s paradise, has the absolutely ideal conditions for low-intervention, organic, sustainable practices which are a passion for Stefano and Marina. The aim is simple for Santa Tresa: produce wines as naturally as possible, using organic grapes and making interesting, typical, quality wines often following ancient Sicilian traditions, which are further improved by modern methods.
