History & Geography
Since 1670 the Negro family has been cultivating vineyards on the Roero hills and has been working with the aim of interpreting the potential of this corner of Piedmont in the best possible way, dedicating its wines to the prestigious indigenous vines, each enhanced in their respective identity. The extract of a cadastral register found in the archives of the municipality of Monteu Roero offers evidence of the over 3 centuries of history that binds the Negro family to these lands. It shows that in 1670 "Giovanni Dominico Negro, son of Audino" was the owner, in the same area where the Perdaudin estate with its prestigious vineyards is located today, of a house with oven, farmyard, cellar and rows of vines.
