Gentilini

Fine Wines of Kefalonia

About the winery
Gentilini Winery & Vineyards is a small, boutique family winery that produces small quantities of top quality wines mainly from Greek varieties. We are open every year from May to October for tours and tastings in the relaxed, natural setting of our garden. All our tastings include a plate with our own organic extra virgin olive oil, local cheese, grape tomatoes and fresh bread. We also offer light snacks for those who wish to linger further over a glass of wine, and bottles may be purchased in our shop.

History & Geography
In 1978 Spiro Kosmetatos planted his first vineyard of local grape varieties near the village of Minies on Kefalonia with the vision of creating a world class wine in Greece. At the time Spiro was a pioneer in fine wine making in Greece and paved to way for other boutique wineries that followed. The winery and vineyards have now passed to the next generation, bringing renewed energy and fresh ideas. As always, Gentilini produces top quality, exciting and unique wines while promoting the unique flavours and aromas of the local Kefalonian varieties. Our wines are exported throughout the world from France to Australia and from the US to Japan.
