About the winery
Located in the wine route of Alsace, the winery Jean-Baptiste ADAM is one of the oldest family estate from Alsace. Fifteen generations of gourmets and vintners have been engraving their history in the walls of the estate established in 1614 at Ammerschwihr. Since 2003, the vineyards are grown in organic and biodynamic, certified AB and Demeter, including the famed Grand Cru "Kaefferkopf". Jean-Baptiste Adam offers a full range of wines with Crémants, Les Traditions, Les Réserves, Les Cuvées Jean-Baptiste Adam, Les Natures, Les Grands Vins de Jean-Baptiste Adam, Les Vendanges Tardives and Les Sélections de Grains Nobles. These wines represent the pure varietal and terroir expression – the real gastronomic style of Alsace wines.

Family estate since 1614. At the head of the winery, Jean-Baptiste (the 14th generation) is working with his daughter Laure (the 15th generation). More than 400 years of history, passion and know-how. Located at the heart of the Alsatian wine road and surrounding by vines, Ammerschwihr is a peaceful village. The Kaefferkopf, with its granite and limestone soil is 51th Grand Cru of Alsace. This Grand Cru is the identity of the estate.
