About the winery
Château de Calavon belongs to the Audibert family, who have been making wine for 5 generations. It is, without doubt, the oldest vineyard in the surrounding area. The winery is located in the heart of the village of Lambesc, in an old post house dating back from the 17th century. Lambesc is well-known as ‘The Little Venice of Aix’. Many private mansions still reflect that period. Today, the village is also known for its exceptional terroir, since it represents one the most important wine production of the region.

History & Geography
The vineyards of Château de Calavon are divided in small terraced plots facing South-East. Their configuration has been the same for nearly three centuries. The organic grapes are planted on arid lands of stony clay-limestone soil. The microclimate combined with the Mistral wind allow the vines to fully develop and reveal their exceptional qualities. Those conditions are ideal for the production of structured and concentrated wines, ranking Château de Calavon among the most powerful reds of the appellation. Our cultivation methods are organic, respectul of nature and the environment.
