About the winery
Cupitt's Estate is a place where family values and a passion for sustainability come together to create uniquely beautiful products & experiences on the NSW South Coast, Australia. Wally Cupitt is the Head Winemaker and brings with him a strategic & inspired yet relaxed strategy to the process. After learning winemaking in the Loire Valley in France, Wally also brings the traditional mentality of less is best; he helps the grapes find their voice but ultimately lets them do the talking. There is a strong focus on creating wines with structure & complexity that become a true reflection on each varietal character and the region in which they are grown. While there is a Sauvignon Blanc vineyard on site, majority of the grapes are sourced from cool climate regions across New South Wales and Victoria, including Hilltops, Tumarumba, Orange, the Yarra Valley and Canberra District.

History & Geography
The Winery was established in 2007, after the vineyard that was first planted in 2003 provided enough fruit for the first vintage. Rosie Cupitt (founder) was the winemaker at the time, and brought her French & Italian educated & inspired hands to the helm. Her award-winning winemaking has formed the foundation of what the winery is today, and her influence is prevalent throughout. Rosie is now our Head Cheesemaker. Following the establishment of the winery, the farm-to-table restaurant was established, along with the craft brewery & fromagerie at later stages in the business' evolution. Soon, luxury accommodation will be added to the offering and guests can enjoy the full scope of this unique and stunning venue.
