Chapel Hill Winery

We produce the purest, balanced, artisanal wines that stem from our deep respect for the land and the vines.

About the winery
Chapel Hill Winery is situated on the site of the historic Seaview Chapel. The ironstone Chapel was built in 1865 and now serves as the centrepiece of the iconic tasting room. The first vines were planted in 1972 and the first vintage took place in 1975. At Chapel Hill there exists a deep respect for their land and vines, this inspires the vision to handcraft wines with purity and balance. All of the grapes and wines are handled gently, in small batches to showcase the wonderful site and varietal characters of McLaren Vale. +The winery has continuously been awarded 5 red stars in the James Halliday Wine Companion recognising regular production of exemplary quality wines. In 2019, it was listed as one of the top 10 “best value” wineries in Australia.’
