History & Geography
Ballycroft was originally the name of the cheesery run by Sue Evans and her sister. The cheesery ceased operating in 2011 but the distinctive logo still graces the Small Berry Wine bottles. The vineyard, hand planted in 1998, sits on a sloping 15 acre property on the outskirts of Greenock, Western Barossa Valley. In 2016 the Tasting Room opened, once the production room for the cheese and in 2018 a purpose built, solar powered, rain-fed winery was constructed. With sustainable being important at Ballycroft even the delivery car is a 100% electric Nissan Leaf named 'Zero', charged from the solar.
