Terre Di San Vito

We are a small-run family vineyard in the picturesque Southern region of Polignano, Puglia (IGT).

About the winery
The Terre Di San Vito estate is located in Puglia (IGT), in the small town of Polignano, approximately 34 km south of Bari and close to the unmistakable azure waters of the Adriatic Sea. It is a treasure trove of ancient vineyards, olive groves and vegetable crops where our delicious and healthy produce is grown. It is a natural and unique landscape, perfect for Apulian wine growing and tasting. Our family and staff work the land and we have a great team here. We all pick the produce through the year and when it comes to harvesting the grapes, the whole family join in! The head of all of this is Zio Franco - his creativity is our inspiration. Our flagship wine, Il Vescovo, won 2 stars of excellence at the 2015 Bellavita awards in London. Giovanni, our wine tasting expert, won the Italian TV show ‘War of Wineries’ competition where he showed his vinicultural knowledge. These skills are evident when you experience his incredible wine tasting sessions at our Terre Di San Vito farm.

History & Geography
Based in Puglia (IGT), our farm has been in the family for years. The vineyards have been developed over the years and we wanted to do something unique for the area. The soil is lush and fertile so anything can be grown here. We love the Malbec grape and decided this would be the perfect environment. We are the only vineyard in Puglia to cultivate this grape – making our vineyard special. We now grow a range of plump, juicy grapes including Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Primitivo for our full-bodied flavoursome red wines. For our aromatic white wine and delicately sweet rose, we grow Sauvignon Blanc and Bombino Nero grapes. Once the grapes are hand-picked, they are then vinified and fermented in thermos regulated steel barrels. We take extra care to produce the best wine in the region. From these wines, you will get a real authentic taste of Puglia (IGT). Salute!
