Rasova Winery

It will be like once upon a time! This is the way the stories that we believe in begin.

About the winery
Crama Rasova is a family run estate located in Cernavoda, Constanta County, in the south-eastern part of Romania. The concept of “terroir” has a strong influence on the character of wine produced at Crama Rasova. The soil and the climatic conditions are ideal for producing grapes with ample fruit flavors. The sun, our symbol, the Danube, the soil and the wind are the elements that give our terroir uniqueness. We strive to produce wines of high quality that express elements of elegance, minerality and balance. The vineyard stretch over 50 hectares of young vineyards found in different stages of development. Modern technology and carefully wine making techniques are used in the aim of making consistently excellent wines. Our winery produces range of wines for various different tastes and palates. Crama Rasova is open all year long to welcome you for guided tours of the winery and wine tastings.

History & Geography
Finalized in 2015, the ultra-modern winery was build with an investment of over 6 million Euros. The winery is posted near the most famous bridge in Romania, designed and built by Anghel Saligny, a Romanian engineer and student of Gustave Eiffel. The wine cellar’s architecture was constructed in collaboration with “Igloo”, one of the most well-known design & architecture studios in Romania. The cellar’s design is not randomly chosen as it blends in with the natural dynamic of the environment “like a pile of rocks which rises from the earth”, as the architect Bruno Andresoiu said. Crama Rasova is a modern wine cellar perfectly in synthesis with its surrounding natural environment.
