About the winery

Our vineyard has grown five fold since 2011. We only practice organic and sustainable farming. We treat our Estate, and all the wildlife that calls it home, with the upmost respect and care. Sheep are free to roam the vines, and our idyllic woodlands remain untouched. Our delicious wines have won numerous prestigious awards. We have a fabulous range of sparkling and still wines which are truly English, and perfectly reflect our unique appellation. We offer relaxed, fun and informal vineyard tours and tastings, every day of the week. Our cellar door is always open for impromptu tastings, and for anyone looking for a little indulgence, our Tithe Barn provides a luxurious, cosy setting in which to enjoy a delicious glass of wine. Kingscote Estate boasts fabulous fishing lakes, dog-friendly woodland walks, beautiful sweeping hills, nature trails, and abundant wildlife. If you’re looking to enjoy a romantic evening under the stars, we offer overnight camping, BBQs, and al fresco dining.

History & Geography

With an impressive history, Mill Place Farm was once owned by the famous horticulturist and father of the English country garden, William Robinson, in the early 1930s. The farmhouse itself was built in 1320 as an Iron Master’s house, while the visitor center has recently been constructed from such heritage and consists of an original 15th Century Tithe barn. This inspiring building hosts wine tastings, lunches, afternoon teas, outdoor conferences, events and private functions. We are located just a stone’s throw away from East Grinstead. For Londoners looking for the perfect country escape, simply take a direct one hour train from Victoria. For those who like to travel in style, enjoy a vintage steam train ride through the picturesque Sussex countryside, and walk 15 minutes down the path from Kingscote station.
