History & Geography
Zugibe Vineyards was established by brothers Fred, Brendan, and Sean Zugibe, along with their father in 2005. Extensive soil analysis was conducted on several potential vineyard sites in the years prior to acquiring the land to be used for planting the vineyards. Plantings of 23 acres and then 17 acres were planted in 2005 and 2007, with the first vintage of wine crafted from the estate dating from 2007. A brand new tasting facility was constructed in the fall of 2009, tastefully adorned with gorgeous black walnut wood accents using wood harvested from the property. Several prestigious awards later, Zugibe has become well-received as an exceptional producer of both bright white wines, and deep, layered reds.
