History & Geography
Our climate here in the Eola-Amity Hills is greatly influenced by the Van Duzer Corridor, which provides a break in the Coast Range that allows cool Pacific Ocean air to flow through. Incredibly windy, these cool winds allow decreases in temperatures, especially during late summer afternoons, helping grapes retain their acidity as they ripen, and helping you to cool down! Our soils are mostly Volcanic, with some marine sedimentary as well, this allows for rocky soils to be well-draining providing us with small fruit that has great concentration.
