About the winery
Established in 1996, Darcie Kent Vineyards is a 100% women-owned winery in the San Francisco Bay’s Livermore Valley region of the Mt. Diablo Highlands. Fifth generation vintner/artist Darcie Kent and Hungarian-born winemaker Julian Halasz work in unison to handcraft small lot, single vineyard wines from sustainably farmed, family-owned vineyards along the Central Coast. Darcie Kent is a fully self-sufficient winery with sustainable grape growing, fermentation, barrel aging, bottling and cellar door sales all on site. Picnics are welcome on our grassy lawns set amongst the vineyards. We are dog-friendly (leashes please). Inside the tasting room visitors will find an art gallery displaying Darcie’s original artwork which they can peruse as they taste a flight of six current release wines. On our recently remodeled sundeck, a conducted tasting experience of our highest-scoring reserve wines is available by reservation.

History & Geography
Darcie and her daughters Kailyn and Amanda proudly carry on their family tradition. Like her great grandfather before her, Darcie uses her original art for her wine labels and strives to capture the unique spirit of each vineyard and its owner in her breathtakingly beautiful labels that grace each bottle. In early 2013, Darcie and her two daughters acquired the current Estate Winery on Tesla Road and began a state-of-the-art renovation. Since that time, more than 20 of our estate grown Livermore Valley wines have scored 90+ points in the Wine Enthusiast magazine placing Darcie Kent amongst the top three wineries in our region.
