History & Geography
Furleigh Estate is owned and run by Ian Edwards and Rebecca Hansford with Furleigh being Rebecca’s childhood home. The vineyard was planted in 2005 and 2006. All their wine is made in the purpose-built winery by Ian from grapes all grown in Dorset and mostly on the Estate. This means they control all aspects of the wine-making process. At 50 acres of vineyard they are large enough to be able to invest in the best wine-making equipment but small enough to maintain the high quality they demand.
