History & Geography
The vineyards are planted on our family small holding. We have an existing farm attraction business that has provided a staple day out for locals and tourists for many generations, which is extremely rewarding to see familiar faces enjoying themselves time and time again. As the younger members of the family have grown up in the business, it was now their turn to take the reins and make it their own. We took the decision to diversify into growing grapes for producing English Quality sparkling wines. After rigorous analysis and extensive research, we pulled the trigger and planted the first vines in 2016. Our soils are very well suited to the clones and varieties we have selected to grow the following varieties; Chardonnay, Pinot Noir & Pinot Meunier. Under our free draining soils, you'll find the same Newhaven chalk seam as Burgundy and Champagne. Through careful clone selection and our perfect soils we hope to produce sparkling wines of great finesse and longevity.
