About the winery
Bodegas Puelles offers the visitor the possibility to live a real and unique experience around the wine world. First of all because we come from many generations making wine, we love our land and feel passion for it. Moreover, Bodegas Puelles was a pioneer in opening its doors to visitors to show them the production process and taste the wine. Since the beginning, we've always loved to have visitors in our winery and make them feel at home. Doing that in the past, we not only helped to develop the wine culture but also collaborate with tourism in the area. Apart from the tours we offer, (always driven by Puelles family members) we have a unique place to end your days in Rioja: Hospedería del Vino. A small hotel in the winery with indoor swimming pool, amazing views to our vineyards and plenty of wine to share with good company.

History & Geography
We are a family winery with many generations making wine in a small privileged area: Ábalos (La Rioja). We acquired the Molino plantation in 1844 and we moved to this enclave in 1985 to build our home and our dream: Bodegas Puelles. The winery is surrounded by vineyards, protected by the mountains and next to the old 17th century mill. All the vineyards that we have are family-owned. We take care of and work on a sustainable crop, with ecological viticultural practices that respect the environment and provide more quality to the grape. In Bodegas Puelles, we make very good wines for everyday drinking and fine wines for special occasions. You can invest in your own wine and become the owner of one of our casks under the "CLUB DEL MOLINO". Also, will be able travel back in time by visiting vats carved out of the rock in which wine was made in centuries past as well as part of the old part of Abalos.
