About the winery
In the town of Rueda, located in Valladolid and origin of the most famous castilian white wine “Verdejo” you can visit an amazing, singular and entangled wine cellar that belongs to Gruyo Yllera. During the tour, wine, art, mythology, history and culture will be joined to offer the visitors an experience full of sensations. Inside a cave that is 20 meters deep and 1 kilometer long wines are kept in different areas that all together make an intricate labyrinth. Grupo Yllera has revived many abandoned wine cellars in Rueda and has create an original and interesting tour where the visitors can discover wine’s history and origin and its relation with different episodes of the Minotaur Myth. Unrolling The Ariadne’s Thread visitors will know the characteristics and excellences of the Grupo Yllera wines: sparkling, white, red and oak aged wines and of course the highlight of the winery “The Yllera Dominus"

The wineries of the Yllera group are located in the town of Rueda, a wine-growing area of Valladolid. The province of Valladolid has many places of interest where tourists will find the perfect combination of culture and gastronomy. The Rueda Wine Route is located in the heart of Castilla, circumscribe to the Rueda Designation of Origin, extending along the lengh and width of the left bank of the Duero river.
