About the winery
For more than 40 years, the De Wetshof Wine Estate in Robertson has been producing renowned wines for connoisseurs and wine-lovers from around the world. Notably, De Wetshof was the first registered wine estate in this area, which is now known as the Valley of Wine and Roses. This estate is one of the very rare third-generation wine estates in the country, and remains known and loved as the introducer of the Chardonnay grape, the Burgundian. The farm is characterised by its colonial-cum-Victorian style and its plentiful jacaranda trees and rose bushes. The fauna and flora of the area is certainly part of its appeal, luring visitors from all over the world to enjoy the natural beauty and diversity around them. The entire area is an official nature reserve. It is home to ostriches, wild cats and lynxes. The wines can be tasted and purchased directly from the cellar.
