About the winery
We are an organic winery in Valpolicella, the homeland of Amarone. Ugolini is a big family with one common dream: make Valpolicella and its enogastronomic treasures known to the world. It has taken us 20 years of hard work to achieve the scenery we have on San Michele Hill, our Villa San Michele. Facing a mass of uninterrupted grapevines between cherry trees and other local trees, Villa San Michele is an antique colonial house that has recently been restructured to be a winery and a wine shop. Even the most distracted traveller could find a reason to stop here in this quiet corner of Valpolicella to taste a delicious glass of wine.

Tenute Ugolini are located in the very heart of Valpolicella region, between the beautiful city of Verona and the Lake of Garda. We own 22 hectares of vineyards in the valley of Fumane, one of the five historical towns of Valpolicella Classica. The land and vineyards have been part of the Ugolini family reaching back as far as our grandparents’ era, a history shared by many here in the Valpolicella region: it’s the story of all those whose first act as they wake up in the morning is to look out of the window to see what the weather is like and how the landscape is changing with every day.
