About the winery
The estate in Valpolicella Classico is in Negrar, where we cultivate with passion and know-how only vines of the property; principally planted with Corvinone and Corvina, grapes, of which are born our historic Cru wines: Calcarole, Rovereti and Pojega – Villa Rizzardi. The garden of Pojega, created in the 1700s, is a magnificent example of an Italian garden with a spectacular perspectives and is open to visitors in the summer. In the interior, the Villa, restored in the 1800s offers hospitality for various private events. The estate in Bardolino is home to the main winery surrounded by hectares of vineyards, the winery runs on green energy thanks to it solar panels, its gravity feed system and external vinification tanks. Soave has a smaller winery to look after the 4 wines coming from our 15 hectares of Soave Classico vineyards.

History & Geography
What began in 1649 when the Rizzardi family established their vineyards in Valpolicella is now an estate covering over 100 hectares of vines from Bardolino to Valpolicella to Soave. The focus of Guerrieri Rizzardi is on its unique, cru vineyards which lie at the heart of these Classico regions. Single vineyard expressions of Amarone (Calcarole), Ripasso (Pojega), Bardolino (Tacchetto) and Soave (Costeggiola) have forged the company’s reputation. Unusually for an estate which dates back over several centuries, Guerrieri Rizzardi is still family owned and family run, Giuseppe Rizzardi is the winemaker and is responsible for the vineyards while his brother Agostino Rizzardi is the general manager.
