About the winery
Cantina Martinelli winery only makes grapes from a single small Cru di Garganega in Caucciolo, between Fittà and Castelcerino, in the central northern area of the Soave Classico area in Veneto, Italy. We row against the current in an area that has always exploited the land in favor of quantity, we have had the good fortune to have one of the smallest crus, protected and precious by type of soil, exposure, terroir, and we protect it with jealousy and love. The vineyard is exposed to the east at an altitude of about 300 m.s.l.m., on Balsaltico, volcanic soil and therefore strongly mineral. The plants are rebellious and free as well as being ancient implanted between 1967 and 1982, it has never been watered and since 2015 in the countryside we adopt strictly organic and biodynamic farming practices that do not involve the use of pesticides or synthetic fertilizer products and that avoid the excessive exploitation of natural resources, within a sustainable development model.
