About the winery
Monte del Frà represents the most notable regional wines in Verona: CUSTOZA, LUGANA, VALPOLICELLA and SOAVE. All wines are produced with our own locally grown grapes using sustainable practices in the vineyards and innovative tecniques of fermentation in the winery, in order to minimise sulphites contents. The result are extremely elegant, refined and balanced drinking wines. “Extreme high quality in a glass to celebrate life everyday” this is the family’s philosophy about fine wines. Today Monte del Frà is managed by the next generation Marica, Massimo and Silvia, with teamwork that has introduced our wines to more than fifty countries worldwide. The CUSTOZA SUPERIORE CA DEL MAGRO is recognized by Gambero Rosso with the 3 bicchieri top award for 10 year consecutive. AMARONE is in the top 100 cellars of the world by Wine Enthusiast and AMARONE RISERVA, RIPASSO, LUGANA, CUSTOZA, SOAVE, BARDOLINO CHIARETTO have excellent rates in the most relevant international wine magazines.

History & Geography
Monte del Frà winery was founded in 1958 by the brothers Eligio and Claudio Bonomo. The name originates in 1492 when the property belonged to the order of Friars Santa Maria della Scala in Verona, who had already cultivated vineyards on the land. Today it is managed by the next generation Marica, Massimo and Silvia, with teamwork that has introduced our wines to more than fifty countries worldwide. Monte del Frà has a fantastic location in the middle of the green hills and landscape of CUSTOZA just outside VERONA city and in the near of LAKE GARDA.
