About the winery
The high internal and palatable quality of our products, the preservation and promotion of a healthy soil with balanced vines and satisfied, loyal customers are particularly important to us. Pinot Gris and Riesling are our favourites, high-quality, long-lasting red wines our passion and rare regional varieties our vocation. With fungus-resistant grape varieties, such as Cabernet Cortis, we are setting new quality accents in taste and new standards in resource-saving cultivation. But we also enjoy being innovative. in 2006 we created the dry elderberry Secco from fresh elderberry blossoms and wine, which is still unique today. Two years later, we developed an absolutely alcohol-free, refreshingly tart Elder Secco variant without dealcoholisation. For some years now we have also been dealing with natural wines. For us this represents the high art of winemaking. Only the grape and a lot of time is the motto. For these wines we do without the addition of sulphur and without filtration.

History & Geography
Gustavshof is located in the heart of Rheinhessen about 30 km south of Mainz. It is managed by us, the entire Roll family, in the 4th generation and is a classic family business with 18 hectares of vineyards. Since 2004 we have been working according to the guidelines of organic viticulture, in 2007 we became a member of EcoVin and since 2012 we have been working dynamically according to the Demeter guidelines. All wines are vegan. The vineyards grow on extremely calcareous soils, in vineyards with different characters. This enables us to plant the optimal grape variety in the optimal location.
