History & Geography
The House of Joseph Perrier was founded in 1825 and is a boutique family-run business located in Châlons-en-Champagne. Precious know-how has been passed down and refined through six generations, building on the traditional methods and driven by a constant quest for excellence. Joseph Perrier Champagnes have played a frequent part in history; chosen for both Queen Victoria and Edward VII's royal courts, used to launch Concorde in 1976 and served at the 2013 Nobel Prize for Medicine awards. The delicate, top quality grapes are hand picked at the 57-acre estate, which is ideally located on the hillsides in the centre of the Champagne region. The responsible farming methods we use provide balance for the vineyards while being sensitive to the qualities of each soil type.
