Domaine de Poulvarel

Certification High Environmental Value

About the winery
Located further north of the geographical boundary of the Costières de Nîmes Appellation, Domain of Poulvarel benefits from the quality of the terroir and the climate linked to Rhodanian influences. The Domain is certified "High Environmental Value", to guarantee work aimed at preserving the environment and the natural character of our wines. On a filtering soil of rolled pebbles of the Villafranchien Rhôdanien type, the syrah, grenache, carignan and mourvèdre give wines with a strong expression of terroir and a unique character. In a place called POULVARELS on shallower and gravelly soils, Sauvignon, Cabernet and Merlot offer distinctive wines, fruity and surprisingly delicious.

History & Geography
It is there, near the Pont du Gard, on family land that Elisabeth, Pascal and their daughters create the Domaine de Poulvarel. Installed since 2004, they have made this area a family history, Which after its first decade of existence has not finished surprising and evolving. The cellar of contemporary architecture, designed with Pont du Gard stones and modern cladding, has been studied to obtain an optimal temperature for aging and conservation.
