About the winery
Two years ago, Jean-Baptiste Prévost, our current CEO, and inheritor of the house decided to launch the business commercially, and to establish our showroom in the heart of Reims so that everybody could enjoy his cuvées. JBP represents the 5th generation of the family and the houses knowledge and tradition.

History & Geography
The house of Pol Couronne was founded in 1887 in Hautvillers by Pol Auguste Couronne. Hautvillers is considered as the birthplace of champagne. Where Dom Perignon, a benedictine monk at the abbey of hautvillers, made champagne for the very first time, towards the end of the 17th century. In the beginning pol couronne was not a commercial business. His cuvées were private and made exclusively for his friends and family. However he made champagne of a very high quality and in 1921 was awarded with a medal from the Knights of the Order of Agricultural Merit for his contributions to agriculture and viticulture.
