About the winery
Vina Ventisquero lives off of three main pillars: Sustainability, Family Owned, and 100% Estate Vineyards. This allows us to make groundbreaking wines. The wines are modern and avant-guard and we take care of the environment at every stage of our production process. Our sustainable management plan in the vineyards mitigates erosion, favours organic products and uses controlled irrigation systems to save water. Independent auditors have granted us “Certified Sustainable Wine of Chile” status. Chile’s first ever certification exclusively for the wine industry. We were the only winery to have achieved certification for 100% of its vineyards. We own our own vineyards in Coastal Maipo, Casablanca, Colchagua, Leyda valleys and the Atacama Desert - Huasco Valley. Our winemaking team consists of Felipe Tosso (Winemaker of the year '12 by the “Gastronomic Circle of Chile”), John Duval (Penfolds Grange Head Winemaker for 29 years) and Alejandro Galaz (Cool climate specialist).

History & Geography
Vina Ventisquero was established in 1998 and had it’s first harvest in 2001. Started by Don Gonzalo Vial, a self-made man whose success story began with a family chicken farm located in rural Rancagua at the year 1955. He was inspired by his own passion for grapevines and his father’s love for the land and agriculture, Don Gonzalo brought a splendid dream to life; a dream that would transform the lives of so many others.
