About the winery
Viña Las Araucarias, a vineyard of traditions. Our history begins in 1627, that year Don Francisco Perez De Valenzuela commences by planting the first family vineyard in the Valle de Itata thus becoming one of the pioneering families in cultivating vinifera grapes used for wine vineyards in Chile, he was also part of the 16 founding families of our country. Later Don Benjamin Ulloa Valenzuela continued with this tradition in the area of Molina, in the Valle de Colchagua with a vineyard called Lomas Blancas. Don Benjamin and his brother Maximo Ulloa Valenzuela were participants of an unprecedented record in the american territory, in 1919 they were the first to cross the Andes from Santiago to Buenos Aires on an Indian American motorcycle traveling 1.400 km, obtaining a great triumph for those years.
