About the winery
The wine-growing region south of Vienna experienced its first heyday in the 12th century. The spiritual winegrowing experts immediately recognized the perfect conditions. The layout of the vineyards, but also the character of the villages, clearly shows the influence from the Burgundian mother-monastery of Citeaux. The Thermenregion wine-growing region was created with the Wine Act in 1985 when the areas of Gumpoldskirchen and Bad Vöslau were merged. And still today, white wine reigns in the northern part around Gumpoldskirchen with a focus on the autochthonous Zierfandler varieties (also known as late red in the regional cuvée) and Rotgipfler, while in the south the red wine with the varieties Sankt Laurent and Pinot Noir dominates.

History & Geography
In the middle of the thermal region known for your special wines, in Guntramsdorf, you will find our winegrowing company. With the utmost care and diligence, we have succeeded in increasing our acreage from 1.5 ha to 28 ha in the past few years, and over 200,000 vines mature in the best conditions. Our family has been here for more than 300 years and is now the fifth generation to work with body and soul. The ancient Romans knew 2000 years ago that a fine droplet thrives here on the edge of the Vienna Woods. The most distinctive vineyards of our company extend over the most important areas of the thermal region, where the following varieties mature into fine wines in a wonderfully mild climate. Our greatest concern is to always deliver the most honest and best quality to our customers, whether they are dealers, restaurateurs or wine-loving guests who are spoiled in their own. Tradition, respect for nature and, above all, love for the job can be found in our wine.
