Lowe Family Wine Co is a family run vineyard, winery and restaurant on the organic & biodynamic Tinja farm in Mudgee, Australia. Lowe specialises in small batch winemaking from vines that are untrellised and unirrigated, combining traditional practices such as biodynamics & amphoras with innovative techniques such as preservative free wines. In doing so they produce wines that speak distinctly of the terroir & region, while following sustainable farming practices to ensure the health of the land for generations to come. The cellar door lies within the working winery and enjoys spectacular views across the vineyards & landscape. A visit is a spectacular way to explore their range of wines, learn the stories, meet the winemakers and enjoy a true Mudgee wine experience. All these principles are further amplified in the dining experience at their renowned regional restaurant & food garden The Zin House, where the set menu showcases seasonal produce grown on the farm & surrounds.

History & Geography
Lowe Family Wine Co lies on Wiradjuri land, whom are the Traditional Owners of the area on which they stand in Australia. LFWC recognise their continuing connection to the land, waters and culture, and take this with them in the way they work with the land today. On the farm their starting point in the pursuit of quality is through the practice of organics & biodynamics. They have been working with these principles for over 15 years to take a holistic approach, starting from the ground up and increasing soil vitality to allow produce to thrive in the natural environment. Mudgee’s macroclimate is extremely well suited to gutsy, quartz loving reds. So this is where you will find their Shiraz, Merlot and icon variety Zinfandel - all from unirrigated and un-trellised vineyards. This ensures each vintage they are faced with a distinctly new wine, with the fruit flavours reflecting the soil and climate alone, as there is no support from irrigation or artificial fertilisers.
