Oinoe – La Città Del Vino
Oinoe is a family-run winery nestled on the very first hills in the province of Parma, at the very heart of the "Italian food valley".
About the winery
The winery is surrounded by 50 hectares of land, 23 of which are planted with vineyards. Its particular terroir (geological texture) and a highly favorable climate allow the production of both typical wines from local vines (Malvasia, Lambrusco and Rosso dei Colli) and less typical wines from different varietals, normally found in other territories (Cabernet, Merlot, Barbera, Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Moscato) with surprising results. A very special attention is given to every single step of the production cycle, from the soil preparation to the pruning of the vines and the hand-harvesting of the grapes into small crates which preserves the integrity of the clusters. Our winery has just been awarded the SQNPI certification for integrated sustainable agriculture, which implies our continuous commitment towards the safeguarding and improving fertility of the soil, avoiding erosion and compaction and at the same time preserving the plants and fauna in the vineyards.

“OINOE-the city of wine” is nestled on the very first hills overlooking the province of Parma (Guardasone di Traversetolo). This territory is so much centered on food and wine excellences to be known as “food valley”. Once a very important battlefield and land of cultural exchange, our hills have a long history of wine production, dating back to the 14th century when local wines used to be offered as a tribute to the most important noble families and royal courts. The winery has been taken over by Alex Cerioli and his family in 2013, and it has grown in quality and quantity of production since then. In the last The family's main aim is to value and promote local varieties and products by mantaining the company's artisanal nature. At the same time, the use of modern technologies and techniques makes it possible to maximize the final quality of the wines not affecting their nature and their original characteristics.
