About the winery
Making organic wine means adopting an agricultural and production philosophy that privileges the relationship with the territory and nature, supporting a reduction in the use of chemicals (i.e. fertilizers and pesticides) and sulphites, adopting precise farming techniques and organic farming techniques aimed at preventing parasitic attacks in a natural way. Amastuola organic wines are the result of the skilful work of those committed, day after day, to putting into practice and disseminating the values that the Amastuola team strongly believes in, namely: respect for nature and for the neighbour. We deliver this important message through the restaurants and wine shops that have chosen us and make the distribution of our wines possible. Masseria Amastuola is the ideal location for wine tourism enthusiasts. The large green space surrounding the Farm is accessible to any guests who wish to relax, stroll in peace and discover the vegetation of the Mediterranean shrubland.

Location
Crispiano
History & Geography
Located on top of a plateau 210 metres above sea level in the so-called “100 Farms Area” of Crispiano, Masseria Amastuola is surrounded by approximately 170 hectares of land, mostly cultivated with vineyards, with olive trees and dry stone walls. Amastuola is a farm with enclosed courtyard, which means that it has a large inner courtyard that can be accessed through two main doors; to the south, a small door reveals an evocative view of the gulf. In this overwhelming scenario, the wine resort offers accommodation in comfortable and finely furnished rooms, a vineyard-garden and a cellar that holds all the self-produced organic wines. The value of the farm itself too is indisputable: the first existing document in which it is mentioned is an Inventory of the properties of Giovanni Antonio Orsini, prince of Taranto, written in the first half of the 15th century, in which it is listed among the assets of the Italo-Greek Abbey of San Vito del Pizzo in Taranto.
