About the winery

At Lynmar Estate, we handcraft ultra-premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from estate vineyards in the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast. Farming for 40 years and sourcing from some of the oldest vines in the Valley, our small-lot and sustainably produced wines are unrivaled in the region. One of the many things that makes Lynmar special is that we are small and family-owned. Led by resident proprietors, Lynn and Anisya Fritz, the underlying theory of everything we do is that the whole must be greater than the sum of the parts. Everyone at Lynmar understands that the remarkable gift of the land must be matched by tireless efforts to push the boundaries of excellence in the vineyards, in winemaking and in hospitality. We are constantly experimenting, learning and improving, always excited by the challenge of getting better, as a winery, as a team and as hosts to the remarkable guests that visit from all over the world.

History & Geography

Lynn Fritz first purchased Quail Hill Ranch and Vineyards in 1980, drawn to the maritime climate and the authenticity of the rolling Russian River vineyards. The property has some of the oldest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vines planted in the Russian River Valley. The grapes from these early vines were bought by Tony Soter and Merry Edwards to make wines considered to be some of the best in the Russian River Valley. Lynmar began a small winemaking activity in the early 1990s and produced small amounts of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which were extremely well received. Over the next 35 years, Lynn purchased several contiguous properties, which have been amalgamated into a single stunning estate bordered by the Laguna de Santa Rosa watershed.
