About the winery
The name LA IGRIEGA means "Y" in Spanish - equivalent to "and" in English - and symbolizes the genetic structure of this project. It means link, union, nexus, sum. The sum of positive concepts is what motivates us in this way. FINCA LA IGRIEGA is the sum of a magnificent terroir located on the heights of the Andes; the care of a recognized agronomist; the skills of an excellent winemaker and the passion of the Goldberg family.

History & Geography
The visible faces of this family project, among others, are my father, Marcelo Goldberg and I, Nicolás. We both come from industries and professions not related to the wine industry. Marcelo successfully developed and managed businesses related to the textile industry for years, creating brands such as Vitamina and Uma. I am an economist. I started my professional career in the Ministry of Economy and then in an economic consultancy specialized in the analysis of production activities and project management advice. In 2006, my uncles, who had arrived at Paraje Altamira, encourage us to invest in the area and we saw the opportunity to buy a single vineyard with the “right to wáter”, priceless key for the future. What happened to us is that when we got there, we fell in love with the geography of the place and its people. And we bought our this vineyard of 25 hectares, in the heart of Paraje Altamira. And the dream began. And reality began. We started the work of clearing and preparation
