About the winery
Overlooking the river Garonne and South-West oriented, the estate benefits from a high level of sunshine, just the right amount of wind and an optimal natural drainage linked to the altitude and the vineyard's slope. An ideal terroir for grapes and ripen the perfect place. Chateau Reaut endowed himself with a gravity systemand some revolutionary inverted vats, in order to obtain some dense, fruity and velvety wines, from a plot vinification. The ageing is made in oak barrels and in amphoraes. The new cellar was inaugurated in september 2018. The resolutely modern building is magnified by a gorgious panoramic view on the vineyard and the river Garonne from a magnificent 200m terrace. The vat's uniqueness makes Reaut a pioneer in the wine world.

History & Geography
Back in 2012, a group of wine enthousiast friends, gathered by Yannick Evenou, purchased Chateau Reaut from prestigious Champagne house Louis Roederer. In a unique outcome, the new property owners are a mix of investors from Bordeaux and Burgundy. True to their values and with a strong desire to share their adventure, Chateau Reaut's owners decided to give the opportunity to 400 individuals to become co-owners. As of today, we record more than 560 of them around the world. Chateau Reaut is located in Cadillac area and spans over 26 hectares of land, straddling a limestone-clay hillside and a gravelly terrace at 100 meters of altitude. In order to shape wines up to excellence, all Chateau Reaut's vintages are carefully assessed by the world-renowned oenologist Michel Rolland.
