Antonio Vallana e Figlio

Small family winery, informal and warm welcome, high quality traditional wines.

About the winery
Vallana is a small, family winery with a tradition dating back to the 18th century. Founded in its present form by Antonio Vallana in 1937, the winery is now managed by his great grandchildren Francis and Marina. At Vallana's, you will be welcome in a warm, informal style; Marina, Francis or their mum Giuseppina will be there to walk you around the estate. Are you looking for a super geeky tour? Are you on a fun trip to explain winemaking to your children? Just let us know :-) and we will be happy to tailor our approach to your wishes and make your experience interesting and enjoyable!

History & Geography
Vallana is one of the historical estates in Alto Piemonte. Our history started in 1787, with Gaetano Perrucconi di Montalbano, the Cellar Master of the Bishop of Novara. It continued in the 19th century as a wine and agricultural business and it developed into a fully fledged winery in 1937. After World War 2, the wines became very well known in the whole world. The winery has always been kept in the family and we are proud to carry the legacy of such a long tradition. Our wine region lies within the caldera of «Supervulcano della Valsesia», a Unesco Geopark. Visiting Alto Piemonte is about history, wine, food, culture, geology and geography.
