History & Geography
Terre di Noto was founded in 1989 by an idea from Antonino Di Marco. The winemaker was in the area for some consultancy work. In those years, a crisis was going on for the local wine business, and many parts of the vineyards in the region of Pachino and Noto were eradicated. Antonino saw a lot of potential in the territory and set up the winery. Now the company is a well-known name and has an estate of about 35 hectares. He has since run the winery with the help of his family members and other collaborators. The winery is present at the southernmost part of Noto, and the soils, temperature, and climate are perfect in the region for vine cultivation. Apart from viticulture, the area also grows quality products like almond, citrus fruits, olives, vegetables, and other fruits. There is a lot of natural and cultural heritage around the winery. You can reach many beautiful beaches like Santa Maria, San Lorenzo, Vendicari and Porto Ulisse.
